Ruby Ribbon is a disrupting the retail and apparel space with an innovative product line brought to market through e-commerce and through technology-enabled Independent Stylists. Ruby Ribbon’s unique product line includes shapewear, wardrobe staples such as t-shirts, leggings and skirts with shapewear built in, and fashion items. The Wall Street Journal dubbed the company’s products as a “combination of Spanx function with Lululemon style.” The company, experiencing accelerated growth, is well funded and backed by top-tier venture capitalists Trinity Ventures and Mohr Davidow Ventures and DBL Partners.

Director of Product (Apparel) Marketing

Responsibilities:

The Director of Product Marketing (DPM) is a highly strategic position that partners with and leverages resources from Product (Apparel) Design, Inventory planning, Sales, Creative Design, Public Relations, Digital Marketing and Stylist Marketing to bring our products to market to our customers & sales team and optimize their sell-through.

This is done through the planning of four quarterly product launches, which includes field (sales team) education events & presentations as well as the concepting & creation of quarterly content themes (or “Stories”) to be promoted through social, email and public relations campaigns. This role will pioneer the creation of additional channels including video, vlogs, blogs, printed materials and more!

Additionally, this role will collaborate and partner on our seasonal sales and monthly feature/promotional strategies to ensure all of our products are marketed with attention to their unique benefits, differentiation and emotional appeal.

The DPM will drive product initiatives based on data reflecting customer interest, channel participation and business objectives as well as a creative perspective that’s closely in touch with the emerging trends and greater social mindset of our prospective customer.

This role will report to the VP of Marketing and will have accountability to the EVP/Creative Director who also oversees the Apparel Team.

The Successful candidate will fit this description:

  • A listener and student of customer and our sales team perspective. Must operate with systems and processes that recognize the fundamental need for input from and service to our sales team.
  • A driver. Creating frameworks, driving consensus, and marshalling results.

While the DPM will have support resources, we are looking for a a self-starter who can create end products including graphics, presentations (keynote/ppt) and campaigns.Ideally our candidate has produced photo shoots (sourcing, planning, on-site execution) and could source / partner with external digital or print partners if needed.
  • Comes with outside vendors and has a track record of managing them to success.
  • Scrappy. The DPM will be relentless in doing more finding the clever work-arounds that don’t cost a premium.

Requirements:

  • Past experience driving the marketing of a consumer good targeted at a female consumer.
  • Has managed artists –designers, photographers- and budgets and deadlines.
  • Literate in email marketing.
  • A strong writer. Confident and fast.
  • Has personally spearheaded a campaign on a social platform.
  • Has directed an influencer strategy and can debate the pros and cons of different approaches.

VP of Marketing

We are looking for a VP of Marketing with a broad background in brand marketing that includes deep digital experience. He/she will provide strong hands on marketing leadership, to develop and execute an overarching marketing strategy to achieve immediate and long-term high-growth goals as well as being able to roll up their sleeves, do the work, grow a team and have fun doing it! This is a new position that will have high impact and high visibility. The position reports directly to the SVP Sales & Marketing, and is responsible for product marketing, brand and content strategy, field marketing tools, PR, social media, acquisition & retention efforts, plus eCommerce optimization and performance. A proven track record of building and leading high performance teams in a fast-paced start-up environment, preferably with a background in fashion, beauty or lifestyle brands is preferred. What you must be, is passionate and knowledgeable about the female consumer. Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and execute strategy on company marketing initiatives that contribute to our high growth goals and brand exposure.
  • Translate brand and vision into differentiated and compelling product stories that engage and convert customers and enable the stylists to carry our story.
  • Own the customer experience: Who are they, what do they buy, LTV metrics, retention strategies, and how can we capture data to understand and act strategically to optimize and maintain an engaged consumer base.
  • Work closely with product and salesteams to understand and execute on our stylist’s needs, create go-to-market strategies, communication and collateral that reflects Ruby Ribbon’s brand and opportunity.
  • Own and drive all content creation for seasonal campaigns online and offline.
  • Lead the team in annual and quarterly planning, keeping track of budget, and reporting on marketing initiatives’ performance, with a focus on ROI & revenue growth.
  • Exercise a data-centric approach to gather customer/user insights and use data to improve future marketing campaigns and results online and offline.
  • Build digital marketing strategies, set KPI’s and engage outside MarTech companies when appropriate.
  • Motivate, mentor, and grow the existing team and develop a long-term plan for marketing team structure and growth.

Requirements:

  • The ideal candidate has proven work experience as a VP of Marketing, Marketing Director or another senior role.
  • Passionate about the female consumer, products, defining and expanding market opportunities.
  • Can do the work of “scale”: build and motivate teams; create accountability and clarity; change processes as needed to achieve ends.
  • Demonstrable experience designing and implementing successful marketing campaigns.

ART DIRECTOR

The Art Director will report directly to the VP of Marketing and the Creative Director and will focus on generating on-brand, engaging and user-focused creative contentusing print, digital and video media. This person will be the senior most designer and will have their hands in a variety of projects like quarterly print catalogues, photoshoot prep and execution, digital asset and web design all whilehelping to further refine the brand identity. The ideal candidate will have experience in fashion or beauty, and a portfolio of innovative ideas to push the Ruby Ribbon brand forward. This position will mentor an in-house digital designer and a team of external designers and re-touchers.

Essential Skills:

  • Has created and owned the “Brand guide.”
  • Experience leading an agency-like creative process including creative briefs, kick-off brainstorms, weekly review meetings & presentations to executives and potentially our board of directors.
  • Experience leading an agency-like creative culture including open workspace, freedom & flexibility, spontaneous dancing or whatever the mood may call for.
  • A solid portfolio that demonstrates a strong sense of branding, typography and layout applied to brand marketing.
  • Well rounded skill set including: Website Design, UX Design, Email Design and Print Design
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator & InDesign
  • Product Photography (for social media, site & e-catalog) including editing & retouching

Customer Service Representative

Come join the team of a rising fashion company that also nurtures female entrepreneurs across the country. You'll be a key part of our mission to provide excellent service to the Independent Stylists who represent our product. We have fun looking at new designs each season, wearing the clothes (great employee discount) and supporting each other's growth. Our fast-growing company has lots of opportunities for growth. The successful candidate will be a key part of Ruby Ribbon’s efforts to provide superior service and provide support needed to customer and Stylist base.

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver superior service and provide support needed to ensure 100% Stylist and customer satisfaction via email and phone.
  • Be an expert on our procedures, order entry system, Stylist promotions, and products so that you can resolve any Stylist and customer issue.
  • Develop a strong rapport with the Stylist base through getting to know our Stylists on a personal level.
  • Track and ensure orders are delivered within Ruby Ribbon's delivery standards.
  • Thoroughly document issues and resolutions in our contact management system.
  • Participate in initiatives to continually improve our support offering.
  • Respond or follow-up to customer emails within 1 business day.
  • Process new orders and returns/exchanges.
  • Work on special projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • College Degree preferred but not required.
  • 1-3 years of customer service experience required.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with little direction.
  • Experience using Gmail, Google documents and all Microsoft programs.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a fast past, high-energy office environment.
  • Excellent verbal communications skills.
  • Excellent written communication skills. Able to compose detailed and positive emails quickly with high level of accuracy.
  • Experience using e-commerce order entry systems or equivalent. Knowledge of Zendesk, Basecamp, and Highrise is a plus.

DIGITAL MARKETING MANAGER

The Digital Marketing Manager will report directly to and partner with the VP of Marketing on developing strategies utilizing site optimization, email, social, acquisition, remarketing and retargeting efforts to drive traffic and revenue. S/he will think and act strategically and analytically to manage day to day activities and relationships with external development teams and partners. Essential functions include:

Marketing Manager:

  • Create and execute plans to a budget. Develop forecasting & reporting tools to support efforts.
  • Own the digital dashboard and drive continued growth in reach and impact across platforms of interest (web, YouTube, Instagram, Facebook, etc.).
  • Research the latest technologies and external partner technologies. Cultivate relationships and manage third-party engagements.
  • Develop and execute detailed project plans with internal, cross-functional and external teams.
  • Proficient understanding of all aspects of marketing, beyond the purview of this specific role.

Site Optimization (including Web and social platforms)

  • Responsible for developing content strategies for the site to promote seasonal product, product merchandising, and Stylist business opportunity initiatives.
  • Partner with the Fashion Product & Technology Product teams to manage and optimize the site experience.
  • Develop landing page strategies that tie back to Digital Marketing initiatives.

Customer / Campaign Management

  • Develop programs and strategies to increase the LTV of our customers and Stylists (Salesforce).
  • Develop and implement life-cycle campaigns.
  • Innovate and establish best practices around testing and optimizing email strategies.

Paid Search / SEO

  • Devise end-to-end SEO plan; goals, objectives, strategies and tactical road-map; to grow the Natural Search Channel (traffic and revenue).
  • Manage SEO operations; execute and oversee implementation of SEO plan, analytics and reporting.

Digital Acquisition / Digital Media

  • Responsible for growing reach through all digital platforms.
